What are News Feeds?

News feeds, also called RSS feeds are a technology that allows web publishers to establish a "feed" of content, pushing out information to subscribers.  For you, it means not having to go to visit the Project InfoCenter to see if there is any new information, but rather having new information delivered to you.

How do I subscribe?

Interested in subscribing? You will first need to obtain a "feed reader" - a program or service that will collect the content and display it in an easy-to-read format. There are many free versions available online. Simply use your favorite search engine to look for "free feed readers" and download one that best meets your needs.

Then go to your favorite RSS-capable pages and click on the RSS icon at the bottom of the page. This will take you to a page of XML code, the language that makes RSS possible. Don't worry if it looks complicated, all you need to do is copy the URL for the page into your feed reader and you're ready to go!
